Catfish remains

I visited NCTC on Friday, August 29th.

There were no eagles or eaglets in sight, but I was able to check out the area beneath the nest. This is the remains of a catfish.

River eagle
While on a Potomac River float with the Potomac River Paddlers last weekend, Bob Cianflone photographed a bald eagle on the West Virginia side of the river, about a quarter mile north of Shepherdstown, W.Va. Cianflone said the eagle later snatched a fish from the river. Paddlers’ floats are open to anyone interested in a slow float to enjoy nature.
