River eagle
While on a Potomac River float with the Potomac River Paddlers last weekend, Bob Cianflone photographed a bald eagle on the West Virginia side of the river, about a quarter mile north of Shepherdstown, W.Va. Cianflone said the eagle later snatched a fish from the river. Paddlers’ floats are open to anyone interested in a slow float to enjoy nature. For more information, contact Cianflone at

Hmmm, wonder what eagle this could be?
